MORES By-Laws

ARTICLE III
MEMBERSHIP

Section 1: Persons, firms, corporations or associations engaged in marketing and/or opinion research services may become members of the Society.

Section 2: Membership in the Society shall be by invitation only. Any two members in good standing can sponsor a prospective member but subject to the approval of two-third (2/3) of the members of the Board of Directors.

Section 3: There shall be one kind membership, to wit:

a. Individual - person engaged in marketing & opinion research with good     moral character and good professional reputation.

Honorary - Non-voting members who are any of the following:
• Founding member
• Retired member practitioner
• Has made a major contribution to the research industry/society

Full-fledged - Respected marketing/opinion practitioner for at three (3) years.

Associate - Should have been in research practice for at least one (1) year; no voting rights. Membership fee is 60% of the current membership dues.
Section 4: The qualifications for membership are as follows:

He should have been in local and international research practice at least three (3) years for full-fledged and at least one (1) year for associate member.

He should have paid his annual dues in the first quarter of the year and has complied with minimum required attendance or participation in membership meetings, conferences and workshops/seminars equivalent to a point system as established by the Board.

He must attend at least three(3) General Membership Meetings, and at least one MORES recognized seminar/workshop or conference on research, marketing or advertising in year.

He must swear to uphold the Code of Ethics and to promote the aims and objectives of the association and abide by the By-Laws, rules, regulations and any decision promulgated by the Society.
Section 5: Membership shall cease either by voluntary withdrawal or by expulsion from the Society by a two-thirds (2/3) majority of the Board of Directors. Failure of any member to abide by the By-Laws, Code of Ethics, rules, regulations and any decision promulgated by the Society or if the conduct of any member is considered prejudicial to either the good order and discipline of the Society to its aims and objectives shall constitute insignia of this Society.

Section 6: Section 6: Any person whose membership has been terminated in any manner shall forfeit all interests in any funds or other property belonging to the Society; and all rights to the use of the name, emblem or other insignia of this Society.
